Cardio comparison
Rower vs bike vs treadmill: choose the right home cardio machine
Compare movement, impact, noise, floor space and recurring costs before choosing a screen or workout library.

Start with the movement
A treadmill preserves familiar walking and running mechanics but adds foot strike and motor noise. A bike usually needs less operating room and reduces impact. A rower spreads effort across the legs, trunk and upper body, but its long rail needs clear floor space.
Compare the real footprint
Measure the machine in use, not only at rest. Rowing needs space behind the seat, cycling needs safe mounting clearance and treadmills need room behind the belt. Also map the delivery route and the space needed for cleaning or service.
Decide how much software matters
The Concept2 centers on workout data without requiring a content subscription. Peloton is built around its membership experience. NordicTrack combines manual treadmill controls with iFIT-connected features. Compare what remains available without a paid plan.
Choose for an ordinary week
The most capable machine is wasted if setup, noise or discomfort makes it easy to skip. Choose the movement you already tolerate, place it where starting is simple and reserve budget for delivery, flooring, shoes or membership costs.
